Tehran, November 11, 2007: At a visit hosted by Mr. Mahmood Salahi , Secretary of the High council of Free Trade-Industrial Zones of Iran, Mr. Robert Etien, head of an academic delegation from Sorbonne University, emphasized on the expansion of scientific co-operations.
Recalling the historical relations between the two countries Mr. Robert Etien pointed out his great pleasure for strengthening future mutual co-operations and explained having concluded a sound agreement between the Sorbonne University and Chabahar International University . Discussions are under going for materialization of the concluded contract.
Going on the briefing, Dr. Mirzaie, Dean of Chabahar University mentioned the identification of famous universities in the world, and said that, the University has come to this end to include the subjects such as Law. Economy, International Relations and Strategic Studies should be those items for which a memorandum of agreement is already signed between the two sides.
Intakes include a number of students for the first semester of the academic year and more intakes shall take place for the next academic course.
The Dean of Chabahar University mentioned that 50 percent of the professors are French and the rest shall be selected from Iranian counterparts.

Tehran , September 11 -At a meeting held in the Secretariat of the High Council of Free Trade - Industrial Zone, an Austrian economic delegation expressed its interests to participate in the project to be implemented for the construction of the Persian Gulf Bridge .
Hosting the meeting, Mr. Mahmood Salahi, the Secretary welcomed Dr. Werner Fasslabend head of Austrian Economic Delegation, Dr. Masoud Mossaheb the Secretary General of the Iranian Austrian Society, other officials from the Secretariat, Austrian Embassy as well as the representatives from some of the main Austrian Companies RAI, GB, NITI and VAD
At the meeting Mr. Salahi, briefed the backgrounds of the Austrian Companies participating in the implementation of some outstanding infrastructures such as
power plants, refineries and oil projects in Iran .
Dr. Fasslabend recalled the historical fair relations between the two countries and pointed out the proper grounds for the capital investment of the Austrian companies in Iran 's Free Zones.
The Secretary Salahi noted the overall developments in Iranian economy and decisions made for privatization of some 80 percent of economic activities and pointed out that the opportunities for investment of Austrian enterprises are quite available in all Iran 's Free Zones and Special Economic Zones. He exampled that, the implementation of the Persian Gulf Bridge project can be a good starting point for the economic co-operations between the two countries.
The head of the Austrian Delegation welcomed the viewpoints made by Mr. Salahi and confirmed that the presence of the Austrian enterprises in participating in the Free Zones' development projects as being a sign of confidence to the technical abilities of the Austrian companies in other developmental projects in Iranian.
At the end of the meeting, the both sides decided to have a letter of interests expressing the steps to be taken for basic and general studies to pave the way to the conclusion of agreements in order to materialize the future co-operations in implementation of projects in Iran's Free Zones.
